Hemant brings with him extensive experience in managing B2C and B2B services/SAAS businesses ranging from leisure to education to Retail to Fintech spanning over 32 years. As Chief Growth Officer, he is currently responsible for driving growth of the existing merchant business.

Prior to this he was the Chief Business Officer (CBO) / Chief Operating Officer at Innoviti Technologies Pvt Ltd leading the Merchant Ecosystem at Innoviti Technologies Pvt Ltd for over four years where he managed Customer Acquisition, Customer success and Operations & managed a GTV of 8+ Billion USD. He was instrumental in turning the Enterprise business profitable for the first time since inception in FY23.

He has vast experience in leading operations and business functions across multiple businesses with over 20 years in the fast-growing retail sector in India. He has been instrumental in setting up successful retail businesses from scratch like Hypercity, More Supermarkets and Croma. He has also successfully led change management and transformation at some retail businesses in his career. He also has a diversified and well- rounded experience across multiple functions ranging from sales to merchandising to Operations to Marketing to Customer services, supply chain, project management, enterprise sales and customer success management. He has been a part of the leadership team across the organisations that he has worked and has been instrumental in shaping strategies and executing them since the past 18 years and has worked very closely with the respective boards of Directors.

Hemant has successfully handled business roles with P&L responsibilities since 1999. He is a passionate professional with an eye for detail and thrives on challenges. He is a collaborator and a problem solver who believes in the collective wisdom of his team members and takes pride in empowering people to take risks and learn continuously even if they fail along the way.

Hemant has been awarded as one of the “Most Influential Retail Leaders” in the year 2017 by Asian Retail Congress for his contributions to the retail sector in India. He is a fitness enthusiast and a long distance runner and has run over 30+ Marathons in the past few years. He is equally passionate about travelling around the world, cooking and reading.
